Recently, a Yemeni client accessing our Alibaba International Station platform requested to add our social media (WhatsApp) and WeChat accounts for personal reasons.

The client added our WhatsApp account, and their freight forwarder added our WeChat account. We then sent price quotations and payment information to the freight forwarder via WeChat.

The client now claims that we transferred 15,000 RMB to another Alipay account via our WhatsApp account. Upon receiving this message, our staff notified them to immediately report the incident to the police and pledged to fully cooperate with the investigation.

Subsequently, the Yemeni national in China reported the incident to the Qixia Branch of the Nanjing Public Security Bureau in Jiangsu Province, and a formal case was opened on July 1, 2026.

We would also like to remind all international friends that international scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Please be extremely cautious when large sums of money are involved.

Our Yemeni clients informed us that after they filed a police report, our company immediately went to the nearest police station—Jiangnan Street Police Station, Jianghai District, Jiangmen City (Tel: 0750-3815032)—to give a statement, provide relevant evidence, and send it to the Nanjing police, fully cooperating with the police in solving the case.
