Jeddah, KSA | October 22, 2025 — During the First Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Saudi Universities hosted by King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Mr. Mao Ke, Deputy General Manager of Histar Technology, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of the company with KAU. The ceremony was witnessed by leaders from KAU’s colleges and innovation centers, experts, and industry partners.

The MOU outlines collaboration in university–industry joint innovation, technology transfer and commercialization, joint research and shared labs, talent development and exchanges, all aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. It establishes a joint working mechanism and project roadmap, leveraging pilot projects and co-built facilities to accelerate the engineering and scaling of research outcomes.
The signing marks another milestone in Histar’s long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia. On January 15, 2025, Histar was invited to the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) in Riyadh to participate in the award and partnership announcement of the National Geological Database (NGD) – Program 05: Data Model and Data Management, working with multiple partners to advance national geoscience data standardization and platform development—promoting mineral sector growth and attracting both local and foreign investment. The new MOU with KAU complements such initiatives by strengthening the academic innovation ecosystem and commercialization pathways, further integrating Histar’s capabilities in data, platforms, and real-world applications.
At the ceremony, Mr. Mao Ke added: “Our partnership with KAU will tightly connect academic innovation with Histar’s engineering capabilities. We will establish joint project clusters and milestone-based governance, focusing on actionable technical routes and clear application scenarios to accelerate impact across education, public services, and industry.”
